Combo Chimbita is a new offshoot of the fast-rising M.A.K.U Soundsystem from the minds of musicians Camilo Rodriguez & Felipe Quiroz. M.A.K.U and Combo Chimbita are comprised of young first-generation New Yorkers from Colombia, and their sound combines the duel trombone attack of classic NYC Salsa with a rootsy, bass-heavy, laid back organic groove. Their first recording, Puro Show, recorded direct to tape in their in-house studio in Queens, La Casa Del Indio, is the sound and shape of things to come for this talented Combo.
